报告题目：Security, Privacy andAccountability in Cryptocurrencies

报告摘要：The success ofblockchain-based cryptocurrencies has brought a new era in digital currencyresearch and development. User privacy is one of the attractive features anddesign goals of cryptocurrency. One-time address mechanisms, such asdeterministic wallet and stealth address, have been proposed and adopted byseveral cryptocurrencies under the purpose of enhancing user privacy andaccount/wallet management. In this talk, we first look at the securityvulnerability in the existing one-time address mechanisms and present a newsolution to address the problem. We then discuss the need and technique forbalancing privacy and accountability in cryptocurrency, followed by someremaining challenges and open problems in the research domain.
报告人简介：Dr. Guomin Yang is aSenior Lecturer at the Institute of Cybersecurity and Cryptology (iC2), Schoolof Computing and Information Technology, University of Wollongong (UOW),Australia. In 2015, he received the Australian Research Council Discovery EarlyCareer Researcher Award. He was admitted to the Mathematics Department of FudanUniversity in 1999, and moved to City University of Hong Kong in 2000 afterbeing awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship. He received the Bachelor,Master and PhD degrees in Computer Science from City University of Hong Kong in2004, 2006 and 2009, respectively. In 2007, as one of eight awardees around theworld, he received the (ISC)2 information security scholarship from theInternational Information Systems Security Certification Consortium. Beforejoining UOW in 2012, he was a Research Scientist at the Temasek Laboratories,National University of Singapore. Guomin's research interests are appliedcryptography and network security. He has published over 100 research papersthat appeared at many highly respected venues, such as ACM TISSEC, IEEE TIFSand TDSC, CRYPTO, ASIACRYPT, PKC, CT-RSA, ESORICS, etc. He is on the editorialboard of Theoretical Computer Science (Elsevier) and an IEEE senior member.
